Pipe Spools 


G.J. Oliver designs and fabricates pipe spools for all of the auxiliary support systems and equipment packaging as well as for field piping and replacement spools projects. These pipe spools include pipe sizes from 1/2" to large diameter process piping spools with pipe schedules from 10 to double extra heavy. Pipe spools can be fabricated to Client provided drawings or G.J. Oliver developed drawings.


GJO has all required equipment and tooling to design, fabricate, and test our fabricated pipe spools to achieve the highest quality in accordance with specified API, ASME, and/or PED Standards. G.J. Oliver utilizes 3D modeling to design pipe spools to achieve accurate and complete manufacturing drawings. Spools are fit and welded by qualified welders using many welding processes including GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW. With our 125 plus qualified welding procedures we can weld many materials.

G.J. Oliver also provides all nondestructive testing (NDT) required to meet or exceed customer and design code requirements. Completed pipe spools are hydrostatic tested at a pressure 1.5 times the design pressure ensuring the integrity and safety of each spool. Other NDT processes that are used during and after the fabrication of pipe spools include positive material identification (PM I), hardness testing, radiographic testing (RT), liquid penetrant testing (PT), magnetic particle testing (MT), ultrasonic testing (UT), and others.
